Wilcox and Wagoner Platter
Client: self
This platter belonged to my grandparents who were both artist who lived in NYC. The silver object sat in my cabinet and was almost never used. In my initial research, I discovered, from the hallmark, that it was produced by a silver company in NYC called Wilcox and Wagoner. I followed this lead to discover that Emma Wilcox, who's husband was the owner, was well known poet. I included her work as part of the initial output for this project. My grandfather was a photo retoucher for the Sears catalog, which inspired the photograph.
