I knew very little about this sterling silver plate going into the project. I discovered that it was Gotham, but found no catalogue references to the original object. I made 3 artworks as documents of the plate, before I destroyed it to make spoons. A fabric facsimile, a paper casting of the actual plate, and a still-life photograph, where the plate is an element. It is my intention to make all of the artworks analog and physical in ways similar to the original.
